Through www.cocpa.org users have the opportunity to become a member of the organization, sign up for continuing professional education courses, pay member dues, or become a member of our CPA Referral Service network, among other resources. Information collected from these features may include name, address, member identification number, CPA certificate number, and credit card information. This information collected is used solely to identify the individual, maintain accurate member records, or enroll the individual in programs.
The COCPA uses aggregate Web site log information to measure popularity, traffic, effectiveness of various areas of this Web site, and overall performance of this site. The log information is collected through a cookie, but it is not personally identifying in these circumstances. A cookie is a small piece of information that can be used to track your visits to a particular site. Cookies are not used for marketing or tracking of any other personal information.
The COCPA does not sell, lease, or rent its membership list to other organizations or individuals other than vendors of Society affinity programs. These lists are used solely for the purpose of informing members of member discounts on products. We recognize that our members have many changes in their circumstances that require a change in information. Members can change their personal information including last name, address, employer, and interest areas in the password protected area called “Address Change” under “My Account” on the navigation bar.

The COCPA recommends that you do not divulge your password to anyone for your own protection. Remember to sign out of your www.cocpa.org account and close your browser window when you have finished your session. This will help to ensure that others cannot access your personal information, particularly if you share a computer with someone else.
